## About

Le Lab Mastering was founded by Marc Thériault, one of the most innovative mastering engineers in Canada, with over 35 years of experience in the music industry. The studio has grown through an unwavering devotion to music, artists, and producers, combining decades of cumulative experience with an unconditional passion for audio. Le Lab is recognized internationally for its work in digital audio processing, immersive sound, and vinyl production.

The studio operates three dedicated mastering rooms in Montreal: a stereo mastering room, a Dolby Atmos certified immersive room, and a vinyl cutting room housing a Neumann VMS-70 lathe.

### Stereo Mastering
Full analog and digital signal path mastering optimized for clarity, depth, and punch. Delivery formats include CD-ready 16-bit/44.1kHz, streaming-optimized files calibrated to platform loudness targets (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music), and hi-resolution PCM up to 32-bit/192kHz. Apple Digital Masters certified workflow. Remote mastering available.

### Dolby Atmos / Immersive Mastering
Purpose-built immersive mastering room calibrated to Dolby specification. 9.1.6 monitoring system featuring Focal Trio 11 Be, Focal Trio6 Be, Focal Solo 6, Focal Sub6 Be, and SVS PC-4000. Binaural render for headphone delivery. Delivery for Apple Music, Tidal, and Amazon Music HD. ADM/IMF package export and stems assembly available.

### Vinyl Mastering & Lacquer Cutting
Neumann VMS-70 disc cutting lathe with Neumann SX-74 cutting head. RIAA curve and groove geometry optimization, side length and level management. Formats: 7", 10", and 12" at 33 and 45 RPM. Pressing plant liaison and quality control.

- **Marc-Olivier Germain** — Mastering Engineer & Cutting Engineer. Toured with Céline Dion, Kylie Minogue, Diana Krall. Expert in immersive audio and spatialization.
- **C. Pearse Wolfe Liblong** — Mastering Engineer & Cutting Engineer. Masters in Sound Recording from McGill. Trained at Swan Studios NYC under Andreas Meyer.
- **Camilo Amaya Martinez** — Mastering Engineer. Masters in Sound Recording from McGill (John Bradley Award, 2025).
